TASCMAR comprises eight main parts or Work Packages (WPs)

  • Work Package 1 – Management of Bio-resources

  • Work Package 2 – Chemical investigations

  • Work Package 3 – Anti-ageing and angiogenesis bioassays

  • Work Package 4 – Cultivation improvements

  • Work Package 5 – Innovative pilot scale equipment

  • Work Package 6 – Industrial developments

  • Work Package 7 – Socio-economic and environmental impacts

  • Work Package 8 – Management and dissemination

Objectives

Develop and build innovative pilot-scale equipment dedicated to the cultivation of marine microorganisms (actinomycetes and fungi) according to the results obtained from WP4.

Main activities

For the design phase, 3D interactive virtual design will be used. Remote control and supervision systems will then be implemented to test the equipment developed. Based on this, the design, manufacturing and validation of a new pilot-scale cultivation device will be implemented. According to WP4 and WP5 results, the device will be developed for liquid, solid or agar-supported cultivation and will be installed in the CNRS site for validation.
