Partner Description
The Center of Excellence for Marine Biotechnology (CEMB), Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University (CU) has highly skilled research divers who are familiar with the reef areas both in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea. CEMB also owns scuba equipment and a network of several scuba shops in Thailand, providing rental diving boats to access different islands. The center has highly skilled personnel working in aquaculture and the hatchery located in the Chonburi Province, used to propagate marine organisms.
Role
CU-CEMB will play a key role in the collection of bio-resources in Work Package 1 and will also contribute to Work Package 4 and Work Package 8.
